This past weekend Ben and I along with the Collins (David & Julie) hosted a backyard baby-q for our friends Megan and Jesse. Megan is having another baby boy any day now!
I wanted something simple yet chic and not too babyish. We invited Megan's closest friends for a casual Sunday BBQ.
We served bourbon drinks, wine, water, and not pictures coca cola in a bottle!
The food table with only a small portion of the food set out. We didn't' want it to get cold or have flies land all over it before we sat down to ate.

The guys were entertained all evening with a game of Corn Hole. The only time they left was to sit down and eat.

Ben and I probably went a little overboard with preparing the yard, like buying all new flowers the day before to plant. The ones that we planted this Spring had seen better days. The brutal Alabama heat did a number on them.
This is what the girls did while the guys played Corn Hole, sat around and talked.
And it wouldn't be a baby shower without gifts! The proud parents to be, Megan and Jesse were definitely showered with love! Can't wait to meet Baby Whitfield.
